For our company, falconry is not just a profession, but also a great passion. The Swiss Falconry team consists of professional falconers with many years of experience who specialize in ecological bird control.
For some time now, man has been taking over the planet, forcing nature to step back and adapt to change. The use of advanced technologies has accelerated this process of domination, disrupting the natural life cycle of flora and fauna.
In particular, due to overpopulation and excessive pollution, many species that were once in balance with their predators now live without them. As a result, they have inevitably changed and evolved and learnt to coexist with humans.
These include pigeons and crows in Switzerland, which have learnt to use humans to their advantage as a source of food, warmth and protection from potential predators. To this day, these two species coexist with humans in cities without any problems and continue to reproduce in a completely unnatural way. Precisely because of their rapid reproduction and territorial behaviour, many other animal species feel threatened by the huge flocks and flee.
However, this does not solve the problem. Rather, the aggression, noise and lack of hygiene of crows and pigeons are a major problem for humans. Several urban areas have become completely inaccessible and unusable.
For this reason, we have decided to explore the ancient art of falconry and introduce various innovative techniques and tools such as drones and other devices to utilise the power and natural fear that these birds of prey bring to crows and pigeons.
After a thorough inspection of the desired building or area, we develop a strategy for eliminating crows and pigeons.
This is followed by the first phase of the intervention: six times a week, a team of birds of prey flies over the area in question for two hours, chasing the nuisance birds and intimidating them so that they realise that they are in an area that is dangerous to their survival and decide to live elsewhere.
Once this first phase is complete, the second act consists of maintenance, where we continue to visit the area in question, but less frequently, to prevent the persistent birds from returning and settling there.
We also know how intelligent and cunning pigeons and crows have become, that if they are used to seeing the same birds of prey over and over again, they also get used to their presence and learn to recognise their methods of intimidation and attack. This is why we use different hawk and owl teams on our missions and work at different times of the day, from early morning to dusk.
Our methods are extremely effective and completely natural: we guarantee a reduction in birds of at least 80 % in the first phase and a further reduction in the maintenance phase until the birds have completely disappeared.
To achieve lasting results, we always advise not to interrupt the service within a certain period of time, but to have us carry out regular maintenance work.
However, if we determine that an intervention in a particular area is dangerous for our birds of prey, we reserve the right to reject it and propose an alternative solution to the problem. After all, our birds of prey are our colleagues, whom we take impeccable care of every day by feeding them high-quality food and supporting their immune system with vitamins. They live in an ideal environment with the highest standards of hygiene and comfort.
